I know that our school district has also actively cracked down on bullying, which I believe has made a difference. They've also got guidance counselors who make themselves available to talk through issues with kids, as needed. I know the elementary school guidance counselor was particularly good.

While I don't doubt that like-minded kids still group together, it's encouraging to hear that there's not as much automatic animus between them. Or at least, not that my son has witnessed.
