I am a work-at-home mom who primarily earns money from transcription work. I'm also the editor of Wild Violet (http://www.wildviolet.net) and have been throwing my energy into genealogy in the months since settling my mother's estate as a way to reconnect with her side of the family. Various book projects are in progress, but I've found it's best not to talk too much about them until they're finished. My son, nicknamed Kung Fu Panda or KFP, is one of the joys of my existence and one of my proudest accomplishments.
