Sorry to hear about your hearing loss! My Mom had impaired hearing in one of her ears her entire life because of an incident with another girl, who accidentally jabbed her with a wire coat hanger in a cloak room. She covered up for it really well, and I hardly ever noticed it, though. But I wonder if that's why she preferred certain kinds of music, like folk music, which was more serene.

Glad I could make some people smile. Humor is always risky, because what you think is funny may not be someone else's cup of tea. That's why, in the first draft, I just told the story, and then I went back and "jazzed it up," or as I like to say, the second draft is when you go back and "make it funny."
