Uggggh, what an awful experience. This brought back visceral shadow-memories of similar situations in my college and post-college years. I don't even remember the details or the "who" that clearly, but I remember those feelings you described--of being stalked, cornered, attacked with words and aggressive behavior, and of not really knowing what to do about it other than avoid the perpetrator.

I'm so glad you wound up talking to Mrs. Hanlon, and that she truly listened to you and did scomething about it.
