Missives from Wonderland

Thank you! So often we only have knowledge of the men, and it was very important to my mom to learn more about her female relatives. In fact, I have a book she owned about discovering your female ancestors, so I know how lucky we are if, indeed, we can truly go back this far. I don't like to rely just on other people's family trees, but aside for a couple relationships I'm trying to establish closer to my generation, it's a surprisingly well-documented family. As anyone with European ancestors will tell you, if you can link yourself, even tangentially, to nobility, your search becomes much easier.
